It will be An independent Chairman for ICC

ICC have decided that its chairman will be independent and will be elected via a secret ballot in next month. Decision was taken after the Board Committee meetings which were held in Dubai. Their is a rule, that candidate must be free from position in Country Boards. ICC current chairman Shashank Manohar is also the president of BCCI.

"The election process will be overseen by the ICC's independent Audit Committee Chairman and all present and past ICC directors will be eligible to contest the election. However, candidates can only be nominated by a fellow ICC director who, in turn, will be allowed to provide no more than one nominee. Any nominee with the support of at least two Full Member ICC directors will be put forward as a candidate for election," said the release from ICC.

ICC Chairman Mr Shashank Manohar said: "The sport of cricket is proud of its unique spirit and this involves being gracious in victory as well as defeat and respectful at all times to the game, one's opponents, the sponsors and the fans."

ICC took another decision of dissolving down the Cricket Association of Nepal (CAN)  as they involved in litigation with an ad-hoc committee established by Nepalese National Sports Council. ICC was not impressed with the interference of government with its member board.

Besides, it was also noted that ICC was encouraging the members to take up day-night Tests seriously in a bid to sustain the interest of spectators in Test cricket. The ICC also hasn't come to a conclusion on participation in Commonwealth games and the Olympics as a way of expanding the game. Afghanistan and Ireland have been given $500000 each as an ODI fund to develop the game in the countries.
